‘Never doubt that a small group of citizens can change the world; indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.’
World Environment Day is celebrated on 5th June every year. It is a day when people worldwide are made aware of the severe looming problems that plague our beautiful planet. Students presented an informative virtual assembly on the theme Ecosystem Restoration and appealed the fellow mates to be aware of the increasing use of plastics, to save energy, water, to reduce the use of disposable plastics, promoting reusable materials, plant saplings, and reduce dependence on fossil fuels by adopting renewables sources. Students also reaffirmed their commitment to a cleaner and sustainable planet. Using padlet, an online collaborative board, students took a pledge to protect nature and the environment.
