A balanced diet and regular exercise are important for all individuals. Students of grade 6 participated with enthusiasm in the presentation to create awareness about a balanced diet for the healthy well-being of an individual. The emphasis was laid on the importance of eating a variety of foods from each food group to stay healthy and fit. It is quite necessary for the smooth functioning of the body. The students also learned about the various nutritional benefits of the different food items. They also shared about deficiency diseases, which can be the result of poor nutritional intake. Thus students were encouraged to include a balanced diet in their meals every day to stay healthy.
