“If you can speak, you can influence. If you can influence, you can change lives.”
“Public speaking is the art of diluting a two‐minute idea with a two‐hour vocabulary,” and it takes a lot more when it comes to an extempore. We, at Presidium, firmly believe that public speaking is an essential skill for the overall development of students. To imbibe a true spirit of learning in Presidians and to enhance communication skills in them, an Inter-Class Extempore Competition was held, as it is one such method which assists the students not only in thinking on their own but also in voicing their creative ideas with precision. The participants delivered their speeches with great confidence and left no stone unturned to give in their best on the topics they got. The judges found it very taxing to select the best students from all the passionate participants. They were judged on the criteria of content, fluency, voice modulation, and body language, and confidence. This competition not only helped students to build confidence and self-esteem but also developed effective leadership skills.
