Festivals are characterized by colour, gaiety, enthusiasm, prayers, and rituals. Presidians celebrated with utmost ardour the occasion of Janmashtami, a festival that commemorates the arrival of Lord Krishna. Students were dressed up as Krishna, Radha, or devotees. Their bright and joyful faces lit up the festive aura with a spirit of love, devotion, and faith. Students did various activities to celebrate the day like decorating a dahi handi, bansuri, aarti thali, or flute. The tales of Lord Krishna were shown through diorama, painting, and scenery. Prayers and Hymns were also offered by students. Students portrayed the significance of Janmashtami and illustrated the fact that whenever there will be a dominance of malevolence, Krishna will reincarnate to destroy the evil and save the good.
