STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN ATLAS ACTIVITY WITH ENTHUSIASM

24-08-2021
Studying maps is an important part of not only practical knowledge but also skills. The earliest maps were drawn on rock surfaces, clay tablets, metal plates, papyrus linen, or constructed with sticks. Today maps are usually rendered on a flat surface such as paper or on a computer monitor. Our creative Presidians enhanced their skill of reading and labeling the map by indulging in the activity “My Own Atlas.” They utilized different colors, symbols, and imagery, which makes them extremely useful for visual thinkers or those who struggle to retain and recall information. So, with so many benefits being offered by this creative thinking technique. They created their own Atlas. They were provided enough assistance to identify and correct errors and given enough opportunities to practice skills across a range of challenges sufficient for them to achieve full mastery. Thus, map skills are the stepping stones to geography and history.
